Thembalitsha UK was set up as a registered charity in the UK in late 2007, charity nr. 1122832, and is a registered company in England and Wales, company nr. 6446753, and is a vehicle for funding the current projects that Thembalitsha are involved with in South Africa.

In April 2008 this UK arm was able to purchase the 6 hectare farm, currently called Hope Dale, which will become The Village of Hope, it also provided funds to complete the internal works to the new extension at ThembaCare Grabouw. It is the charities vision to continue to support the work and development of the Village of Hope and also the future ongoing works in and around Cape Town.
