Themba Volunteers
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Thanks to the efforts of hundreds of local and international volunteers over the last 10 years, Thembalitsha Foundation, has been able to give the disadvantaged and needy some of the best healthcare, training and education available to those in third world living conditions.

The hundreds of stories of how volunteers have helped us are amazing: They vary from young British children raising funds for our AID’s clinic; to elderly South African ladies making food for our AID’s patients. Not to mention the many groups of students building new homes for the less privileged, helping paint and establish new classrooms for our students, and finally unique individuals making massive personal sacrifices to raise funds and awareness for us.

We invite you to join us in this quest to show love and compassion on a practical level to those deeply affected by poverty and disease in our country.

We welcome volunteers both locally and internationally, and if you are thinking of committing to our organisation, please consider the following options.

Throughout my career, I have worked in many areas but I have never been so blown away by so much talent, creativity and ability at the School of Hope. The students stunned me every day in different ways. They are so privileged to have such a great school with teachers that go above and beyond the call of duty. To be a part of that has been the best experience of my life and one that I am very grateful for.

Sem, an occupational therapist student had the following to say about his time at ThembaCare "ThembaCare is a place with a lot of different cultures, nice colleagues and lovely children. ThembaCare stole my heart! I'm here for two months now and I love working here as an occupational therapist student, there is so much I can do and also so much I can learn. I will miss ThembaCare, the staff and the children but I hope to back someday."
